Mike McCabe brings extensive experience in leadership development, policy innovation, program management, and coaching, with a proven track record of driving impactful initiatives globally:

Regional Leadership at Peace Corps: Directed a team of over 500 staff and 1,300 Volunteers across 21 countries in the Inter-America and Pacific Region. Advanced local, people-centered development initiatives in community economic development, education, health, climate action, and youth development.
Global Program and Policy Leadership at USAID: As Global Youth Coordinator, trained and supported 700+ donor staff in effective youth programming models, doubling annual youth-related investments to $290M globally. Facilitated a collaborative policy development process with USAID staff, youth leaders, and stakeholders to launch the groundbreaking Youth as Partners in Development Policy in 2021.
Coaching: Mike is a certified coach and has worked with professionals in the development field to maximize their capacity and impact with a focus on building clarity, confidence, and collective action.
Innovative Platforms for Youth Engagement: Designed and launched YouthPower.org and YouthLead.org, connecting practitioners and over 17,000 youth leaders globally to share best practices and foster collaborative development initiatives.
Capacity Building and E-Learning: Led the creation of CreativeU, an innovative e-learning hub for development practitioners at Creative Associates, enhancing global capacity-building efforts.
Violence Prevention in Panama: Trained and supported civil society, government, and youth leaders across 28 communities to reduce gang violence, nearly doubling the sense of community safety over three years.
Community-Based Learning Models: Developed and facilitated participatory learning approaches with Peace Corps staff, Volunteers, and community partners as Chief of Programming and Training for the Inter-America and Pacific Region and as Director of Programming and Training in the Dominican Republic.
Grassroots Development Support: Funded and supported capacity-building models for grassroots leaders as Country Representative for Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua, and Mexico with the Inter-American Foundation.
Social Entrepreneurship and Civic Action: As Vice President of Youth Service America (YSA), managed cohorts of 16 social entrepreneurs, while designing and scaling Global Youth Service Day, celebrating youth-led civic action in over 100 countries annually since 1997.
